The owner, Richard Lata, started repairing boats in Florida in 1980 using fiberglass products and equipment. Ten years later, he started working on damaged vehicles full time at Maaco, then Hendricks Automotive Group.
In January of 2000, Richard and his wife, Joanna started Martinsville Collision Center by renting space in the Riddle, Dodge Honda dealership. In just a years time, they needed a larger building and moved to Memorial Boulevard where the center remains today.
With a full time staff of fully trained collision, refinishing and mechanical technicians, we are all I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) trained.
In addition to our affiliation with I-CAR, we are also members of Autobody Alliance, FCCI Approved Repair Center and the VIADA of Virginia.
